What is Tapestry?

Tapestry is a wellness app for keeping track of the things you already notice about yourself: symptoms, habits, energy, sleep, mood, your cycle, whatever you're paying attention to. You log them, and each week Tapestry puts together a private report that shows the patterns across what you've recorded. It isn't a program to follow or a score to chase. It's a place to keep your own record and to see clearly what's been happening, so you have something real to look at for yourself and to share if you'd like to.

What do I need to use Tapestry?

You only need a smartphone. Tapestry works on iPhone and Android. If you already use a wearable or a health app on your phone, Tapestry can bring that information in, so you're not starting over from nothing.

Do I need a wellness practitioner to use Tapestry?

Accepted Answer

No. You can sign up and use Tapestry entirely on your own. Some people come to it through a practitioner they already see, and if that's you, Tapestry can add that practitioner's name to your weekly report so it's easy to bring to an appointment. Either way, the app is yours.

Can I choose what Tapestry tracks?

Yes, right from the start. You choose what you track, how often you hear from the app, and what you'd rather leave out. The defaults are gentle, and you can keep things simple or add more structure whenever it suits you. There's nothing you're required to set up first.

What languages is Tapestry available in?

Right now Tapestry is in English. More languages are planned for after the general release. If there's one you need, we'd really like to know, so please tell us through our contact page and we'll take it into account.

How much does Tapestry cost?

In the US, Tapestry is $7.50 a month or $49.95 a year. Pricing varies by jurisdiction. If you're a wellness practitioner, partnering with Cirdia is free, and your clients pay the same as anyone else. There's no device or hardware to buy.

What does the subscription include?

Accepted Answer

Your subscription is full use of the Tapestry app, with every feature included. That means the private intelligence engine that finds the patterns specific to you, and the reporting built on it: a clear picture of where things stand right now, and the longer arc of how they're changing over weeks and months. You can bring in data from Apple Health or Google Health Connect, and you get private backup and restore, so your record stays safe and comes with you if you change phones. Your data is protected with post-quantum encryption, built to hold up even against future quantum computers. We ask you to pay for the app because we don't sell your data: Tapestry is funded by the people who use it, not by anyone buying information about you. Other Cirdia apps may be offered separately as they become available.

Where is my wellness data stored?

Cirdia doesn't store your wellness data on our servers. It stays in your copy of the app. When it's time for your weekly insights, the app encrypts that data and sends it to a private, temporary space made just for that one task. The analysis runs, the results come back to you, and that space is then destroyed. There's no database of your health information sitting with us. That's deliberate, and it means you can record real, specific things knowing there isn't a copy of them here to be lost, sold, or handed over.

Will my data be sold?

No. We don't sell, trade, or share your health data. Because of how the system is built, there's nothing to sell in the first place: we never hold your wellness data, so there's no database here to sell, hand over, or have taken from us.

What does privacy-first actually mean here?

Accepted Answer

It means the protection is built into how the system works, rather than written as a promise in a policy. Your wellness data isn't uploaded to a Cirdia database. It's only processed when you ask for insights, in a temporary space that's destroyed afterward. You decide what you track, what you share, and what you remove.

Can I delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete your entries and your account from within the app. Since we don't keep your wellness data on our servers, removing it in the app removes it. There are a few limited records we're required by law to hold onto for a while, such as a billing record, and none of those contain your health information.

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export everything you've logged, to keep a copy for yourself or to bring to a doctor or anyone else you'd like to share it with. It's your record.

Is Tapestry HIPAA compliant?

Accepted Answer

HIPAA applies to healthcare providers and the companies they work with, not to a wellness app like Tapestry, so it doesn't technically cover us. We've held our data protections to a high standard regardless. Cirdia is a European company, and European data protection is the starting point we design from.

Does Tapestry connect to Apple Health or Google Health Connect?

Yes. If you already use Apple Health or Google Health Connect, Tapestry can bring that data into the app, so your existing tracking becomes part of the picture. It only moves in one direction, into the app. We don't send your data back out to those services or to anyone else.

Can I share my data with my practitioner or family?

Your weekly report is made to be shared on your terms. You can add a practitioner's name to it and bring it to an appointment, or export your record and share it however you like. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

Is Tapestry a medical device or medical advice?

Accepted Answer

No. Tapestry is a wellness app, not a medical device, and it doesn't diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. What it does is keep your record and show you the patterns in what you've logged, so you have something concrete to look at rather than relying on memory. What those patterns mean is a conversation between you and a practitioner you trust.

Who is behind Cirdia?

Cirdia Global S.L. is a small company, incorporated in Spain, with founders on more than one continent. We come from technology and human-centered design, and we've spent our careers building systems that keep people, and the things they care about, at the center.

Why don't more companies design for women?

Accepted Answer

Because many of them start from a product that already exists and adjust it, instead of starting from women's actual experience. We did the opposite. We spent months in conversation with women in midlife about what wellness means to them, what they want to track, and how they want to be supported, and then we built what they described.

What research backs Tapestry's approach?

Accepted Answer

Our thinking draws on research in chronobiology, women's physiology, and ethical data practice. Tapestry isn't a medical device and doesn't make clinical claims. What it does is keep an accurate record and surface patterns over time that are genuinely hard to notice in the moment.

Are you still building wearable hardware?

Accepted Answer

Yes, wearable hardware is in development. Tapestry doesn't depend on it: the app works today on its own, and alongside the wearables and phone health apps you may already use. When our own hardware is ready, it will feed into the same private system. We're not ready to share names or timing just yet.
